We make every effort to grow our business and reduce our impact on the climate in our company. We often ride a bicycle to work. Therefore, the decision to create the road bike KOHLHAUER CYCLING TEAM was completely natural for us. The official debut of our team will take place on May 28 in Gdańsk, during the Climate Classic Poland Rally.

In Gdańsk, we will field a 5-person team. The purpose of the Rally is to draw attention to the problems caused by global warming. The organizer is the Tri-City Bicycle Association, supported by the Cycling 4 Climate Foundation, and the partner of the Rally is the Carbon Footprint Foundation.

Ecology is inscribed in our activities and DNA. At ALFA BOND KOHLHAUER, we produce #acoustic barriers to protect local communities from noise. We shorten supply chains and take care of the selection of raw materials. Our #VOLTA screens, integrated with photovoltaics, can also produce energy from the sun. If we installed VOLTA panels on all the screens we’ve put up so far, we’d have a 200 MW installation. We constantly monitor the air quality in our surroundings. On the façade of our headquarters in Kajetany near Warsaw, we installed a sensor provided by Airly, which measures the concentration of particulate matter (PM).

We start our efforts for the planet with ourselves. Last year, we saved over 750 liters of fuel by commuting to work by bike or hybrid transport – bike + train. Yes, that means we did not emit exhaust fumes from over 750 liters of fuel! This year we ride bikes to work even more often, because we are getting ready for the Rally.
